We are thrilled to announce that as of June 21, 2017, we are the proud owners of our school house and land at 740 Haiku Road in Haiku Town! For this little school of 1000 miracles, this miracle is a big one! Thanks to a generous gift of the down payment from Peter Hagedorn and Miriam Trahan of the Nuestro Futuro Foundation, we were able to secure a loan and purchase the property.
The President of our School Board, Mercedes Bate, with our Loan Officer Jacob Simons of Bank of Hawaii, after signing the documents.
Purchasing the current campus provides a permanent site for our school, allows for upgrades and expansion to accommodate growth, and realizes the potential offered by the campus. It will ultimately enhance and enrich the learning experience of our students. This includes renovating our preschool, remodeling classrooms, building a STEM education laboratory with mobile computer lab, expanding our library and school garden, adding new play structures to our outdoor play area, and creating a proper administrative office.
We are in the second phase of our capital campaign, and now will be raising additional funds to remodel our building.
